Wheelchair restraints and lockdowns
GM offers a wide range of restraints and lock downs to apply to your own wheelchair adapted vehicle or to be fitted as an optional extra on your new wheelchair adapted vehicle.
GM Coachwork offer many restraints, lockdowns and winches that can be fitted to virtually any vehicle. Below is a sample of the solutions we provide.

Restraint systems
GM offer a wide range of restraint systems including wheelchair restraints, power chair lockdowns and the GM designed Scoot N Stop scooter lockdown device.
For manual wheelchairs we offer the Unwins four point restraint system while for powered chairs a lockdown system will be needed whereby you manoeuvre your wheelchair over the device and a lock pin keeps your wheelchair secure.

To secure a powered chair a lockdown system will be needed whereby you manoeuvre your wheelchair over the device and a lock pin keeps your wheelchair secure during travel.

Scoot 'n' Stop scooter lockdown
The Scoot ‘n’ Stop from GM Coachwork is a unique automatic lockdown device designed specifically for scooters.
Available in 3 models it can be fitted to compact WAVs and larger, flat floor, vehicles. In the event of an accident Scoot ‘n’ Stop will keep your scooter secured and safe.
Powered winches
GM Coachwork offer a choice of winches to help you and your wheelchair passenger enter your vehicle. Our winches make it safer for a wheelchair user to enter the vehicle by reducing the risk of rolling back down the ramp.
We have selection of winches which we can supply and fit into your vehicle, including the Hook-I® winch.
