Vehicle Deliveries and Demonstrations.
Vehicle deliveries and demonstrations are being carried out as normal. Prior to our arrival our staff will have to ask some additional health and travel questions to ensure the customer is safe to visit. We will also be confirming with customers the day before any visit to check the customers is happy to continue with our visit. You can request the visit to be at an alternative address with family members to avoid potentially more vulnerable customers being present. In some instances for vehicle deliveries we will conduct a soft handover to reduce time and contact with customers. Paperwork will still require a signature but to keep customer contact to a minimum drivers will redirect customers to refer to handbooks and website for instructional videos.
Service Engineer visits
If you have a service engineer booked we will conduct, where possible, no-contact visits where will ask the customer to pass vehicle keys through the letterbox or window to avoid direct contact. Our engineers will wear disposable gloves when working on customers’ cars. GM will continue to follow the government’s guidelines and will keep you informed of any further changes to procedures.
